In addition to the medical peels from Dermaceutic that we perform in practice, it is also essential that you get started with the recommended exfoliating products from Dermaceutic for at home (at least 2 to 4 weeks before the first treatment). By using the exfoliating products at home, the dead skin cells are removed and the skin thins. This makes the skin more permeable and the peeling reaches the deeper layers of the skin better, so that the most optimal result is achieved faster and the treatment is more effective. The skin will also recover faster after a treatment and the results of the treatment will be maintained for longer, so that maintenance treatments are needed less often.
Cosmo Peel Forte
The Cosmo Peel Forte is a medical peeling for the face and can also be used to target specific skin zones. If you are bothered by aging skin, deep wrinkles or large pores, this can be a suitable treatment. The Cosmo Peel Forte treatment is our strongest peeling. One treatment is enough to rejuvenate the skin by up to five years! Our skin therapists assess during a consultation whether your skin is suitable.
When is the best time to start a Cosmo Peel Forte project?
Since it is better not to spend too much time in the sun, both before and after the treatment, it is best to undergo this treatment in the winter months.
Important to know
Keep in mind that with the deeper medical peels there may be a recovery time. The skin can then, for example, be redder or drier a few days after the treatment. With heavy treatments, peeling or (slight) swelling can be a skin reaction. We always discuss in advance whether or not there is a recovery time and what you can expect. It is important not to scratch the skin. If desired, we can also advise you on the right post-treatment creams and foundation, which ensure that the recovery of damaged skin is accelerated.
Reimbursement health insurance
Treatment for acne (scars) in the face can possibly be reimbursed under the additional health insurance. The amount of your reimbursement depends on your insurance. About medical peels
There are different types of peels that can act on multiple skin layers, from medium to deep peels. We can choose to what depth we use the peeling, depending on your skin wish. There are chemical peels with natural acids, liposomal peels based on enzymes, organic peels and heavy peels based on trichloroacetic acid (TCA).
A chemical peel is a liquid made up of natural acids such as polyhydroxy acid, lactic acid, glycolic acid, mandelic acid and salicylic acid. The peels have the ability to soften the dead skin cells so that they flake off faster. This stimulates the skin to produce new, healthy skin cells.
The purpose of medical peels is to accelerate the skin's renewal. It is wise for every skin and skin type to undergo an effective medical peeling. We use peels for: acne, acne scars, large pores, dull or sagging skin, fine lines and pigmentation spots.
The skin regains its natural glow after a heavier peeling! Immediately after the treatment, the skin may be warm, feel tighter and look red. Usually the redness disappears within a few hours. The degree of reaction depends on the type of peeling and intensity. With peels, flaking and dryness develop after 1 to 3 days. This can last up to 7 days. This is a normal reaction: old skin cells shed to make way for new, healthy skin cells. For optimal results, we advise you to follow the peels in a course of treatment.

During the treatment period you should avoid direct sunlight and sunbeds and protect your skin with at least an SPF50. Also avoid swimming pools and sauna for at least the first 3 days after the treatment. Also, don't scratch or rub your skin, as this can interfere with healing.
