Vergoedingen vanuit de aanvullende zorgverzekering

Bij Skin Project komen de huidtherapeutische behandelingen en lasertherapie met een medische indicatie in aanmerking voor een vergoeding vanuit de aanvullende zorgverzekering. Huidtherapie en lasertherapie zijn niet opgenomen in de basisverzekering. Het voordeel van een vergoeding vanuit de aanvullende zorgverzekering is dat er geen eigen risico op van toepassing is.

De huidtherapeutische behandelingen die voor vergoeding in aanmerking komen zijn: acnetherapie (vanaf zorgprofiel acnegraad 2), camouflagetherapie en overbeharing in het gezicht.

Voor de hoogte van de vergoeding kun je het beste in je eigen polisvoorwaarden kijken. Gemiddeld genomen ligt de vergoeding tussen de €100,- en € 700,- per jaar. Elk jaar worden de voorwaarden en bedragen aangepast. Wij adviseren daarom aan het einde van het jaar te controleren en te vergelijken of een aanvullende zorgverzekering (nog) uit kan. Soms zijn de vergoedingen lager dan het bedrag dat je maandelijks extra moet gaan betalen. In dat geval is het gunstiger de behandelingen zelf te betalen. Twijfel je of iets wel of niet wordt vergoed, neem dan contact op met je zorgverzekeraar. Je bent altijd zelf verantwoordelijk voor het indienen van de declaratie.

Skin Project voldoet aan alle eisen

Skin Project Huidtherapie is aangesloten bij de Nederlandse Vereniging van Huidtherapeuten (NVH) en staat ingeschreven in het kwaliteitsregister paramedici. Deze inschrijvingen zijn nodig om de kwaliteit van de huidtherapeut te garanderen. Dit houdt in dat de huidtherapeut altijd bijgeschoold en bekend is met de nieuwste richtlijnen en ontwikkelingen. Dit zijn ook voorwaarden die de zorgverzekeraar stelt om behandelingen te vergoeden.

With which medical indications is reimbursement possible?
The conditions and requirements vary by insurer. In general, you can receive compensation for the following indications: excessive hair in the face, pigmentation spots or melasma in the face, acne or acne rosacea, (acne) scars on the face, and in cases of extreme color differences in the face such as with a birthmark.
Do I need a referral letter?
No, skin therapists are freely accessible to everyone.
Are treatments by a beautician also reimbursed?
Previously, treatments by specialized beauticians were sometimes reimbursed. Health insurers are stricter about this nowadays. Many insurers now state in the policy conditions that a treatment is only reimbursed if it is performed by a university-educated skin therapist.
What is the advantage of a skin therapist compared to a beautician?

The advantage of a skin therapist over a beautician is the level of education and thus the medical knowledge. With a skin therapist, you can count on very expert and reliable advice. A skin therapist is a paramedic with a higher professional education who is always updated and familiar with the new insights and developments in the field. At Skin Project, we meet strict requirements and work with a quality system. We are a member of the professional association NVH and are registered in the quality register for paramedics. We also have a BIG registration and a collaboration with doctors and other disciplines.

Is a compensation always more advantageous?

No, unfortunately it can happen that the reimbursement is lower than the monthly amount you have to pay extra. In that case, check if you will also make use of the other reimbursements or choose to pay for the treatments yourself. Since these are healthcare costs, you can declare them as healthcare costs in your tax return.

Does the compensation remain the same every year?
No, health insurers generally adjust their terms every year. The amount may change, or a treatment may be completely removed from the package. The requirements may also change; whether or not a referral letter is needed, the age limit, the severity of the condition, and which conditions are covered. Therefore, always read the policy conditions carefully before taking out a new supplementary health insurance or before you want to make use of a reimbursement. Every year around mid-November, health insurers announce their new terms for the following year.
Are you affiliated with all health insurers?
Certainly! As healthcare providers, we are recognized by all health insurers. The codes that are used to the health insurer from both the healthcare providers and the practice are mentioned on the invoice. These are called the AGB codes.
Should I submit my invoice myself or will you do that?

After you have undergone a treatment with us and paid the invoice, you can submit it yourself to your health insurer. The health insurer will assess the application and you can expect the amount in your account within a few days to a week.
