Littekens
Een litteken kan ontstaan door een verwonding, bijvoorbeeld door een ongeval, operatie, ziekte, zwanger-schap of bij een huidprobleem. Littekens zijn er in diverse soorten en maten. Elk litteken vertelt een eigen verhaal. Soms voelt een litteken trekkerig of verhard aan. Het kan ook dat een litteken rood blijft, verdikt is of juist verzonken in de huid ligt. Hoewel littekens nooit volledig te verwijderen zijn, kan de huidtherapeut in de meeste gevallen helpen de littekens minder zichtbaar te maken.

Je huid wordt zelf aan het werk gezet door de juiste ingrediënten; om te versterken en te vernieuwen, hierdoor zal je huid minder snel ontstoken raken.

The treatment plan is always two-fold. In addition to the medical peels from Dermaceutic that we perform in the practice, it is also essential that you start using the recommended exfoliating products from Dermaceutic at home (at least 2 to 4 weeks before the first treatment). By using the exfoliating products at home, dead skin cells are removed and the skin thins. This makes the skin more permeable and allows the peel to penetrate better into the deeper skin layers, resulting in the most optimal results being achieved faster and the treatment being more effective. The skin will also recover faster after a treatment, and the results after the treatment will be maintained longer, which means that maintenance treatments are needed less often. We believe that you can control acne by 60% yourself, as soon as you know your personal triggers in combination with the right home products. The therapeutic skin treatments account for the remaining 40%, giving you a significant push towards beautiful skin.
Chemical peels
Chemical peels are liquids that consist of natural acids. At Skin Project, we work with medical peels based on Glycolic acid, Salicylic acid, Lactic acid, Mandelic acid, or Trichloroacetic acid (TCA). These ingredients provide a deep cleansing of the pores and target the acne bacteria (p.acnes) while inhibiting sebum production. The active ingredients in a peel also stimulate and accelerate skin cell renewal, preventing new blockages, impurities, and inflammations. The depth to which the peel penetrates depends on the type of ingredients we use. We determine this together by aligning it with your individual wishes. There is a suitable peel for every skin type.
IPL treatment
With our IPL treatment (Intensed Pulsed Light) from the InMode system, we tackle acne from the inside out and at the source: the sebaceous glands. During the IPL treatment, the light destroys the bacteria that cause acne. The inflamed sebaceous glands also shrink due to this treatment, reducing the overproduction of sebum. This makes the IPL treatment a very effective solution for addressing inflammation and redness. The treatment is suitable for the face, but also for pimples on the back and chest.
Inmode is CE and FDA certified, which ensures the safety of the equipment.
Hydrafacial
Hydrafacial offers a three-step treatment in which the skin is powerfully cleansed and exfoliated while being saturated with antioxidants and hydration. When the skin is thoroughly cleansed deep into the pores and then saturated with antioxidants, the skin will produce less sebum for protection due to reduced oxidative stress. Additionally, the antioxidants will reduce inflammation in the skin, resulting in less redness. LED light therapy is used to inhibit sebum production and kill the bacteria that cause acne.

What effect can you expect?
You will notice that thanks to the treatments and the use of the right skin products, the acne will be reduced. Multiple treatments are needed to stabilize the acne in the skin. Depending on your skin condition, we usually start with 3 to 5 acne treatments. A treatment lasts on average 45 to 60 minutes. After each treatment, we evaluate how it is going and whether we can possibly adjust the treatment plan. If necessary, we adjust your plan to your skin wishes. The basis is always first stabilizing the active acne before moving on to the treatment of residual spots and any acne scars.
After the active treatment process, we will look at how you can best maintain your skin. Both with a home treatment and with (possible) therapeutic skin treatments on a maintenance basis.

Afhankelijk van je huidconditie, beginnen we met 3 tot 5 huidtherapeutische behandelingen. Een behandeling duurt ongeveer 45 tot 60 minuten per keer. Na elke behandeling evalueren we hoe het gaat en of we het behandelplan eventueel kunnen bijstellen. Na 3 behandelingen plannen we opnieuw een Observ520 huidscan in om het tot dan toe behaalde resultaat te beoordelen. Eventueel passen we je plan aan je huidwens aan. De basis is altijd eerst het stabiliseren van de actieve acne om daarna over te gaan op de behandeling van restplekjes en eventuele acnelittekens.
Na het actieve behandeltraject kijken we hoe je jouw huid het beste kunt onderhouden. Zowel met een thuisbehandeling als met (eventuele) huidtherapeutische behandelingen op onderhoudsbasis.

De huidscan en het behandelplan is gratis. Per behandeling bedragen de kosten tussen de €129,- en €239,-. Het totale bedrag hangt af van het aantal behandelingen die je nodig hebt. De meeste mensen met acne hebben minimaal 3 behandelingen nodig.
